It is very likely that FromSoftware will sooner or later announce a DLC for Elden Ring. So far, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Demons Souls are the only titles from the studio that did not contain any additional content. In the latest patch 1.07, dataminers have now encountered suspicious content that indicates additional content and a ray tracing function.

Elden Ring vs Dark Souls – Why is the new game so much more successful?
What do the clues say?
New DLC? Dataminer Zullie shared on Twitter interesting discoveries he found in the game files of the new update. It mentions the IDs m20 and m45. As Zullie explains, IDs can indicate what kind of environment a map has. For example, the abbreviation m30 stands for side dungeons, and m10 to 19 are the main areas. Zullie suspects that m20 might be a legacy dungeon. With the m45, he’s overwhelmed himself. In any case, two completely new maps don’t sound like a small update is planned.

What exactly the two potential maps are about is still unclear. It has not been officially confirmed that they will appear at all. However, the entry strongly suggests new content.
But if you are already longing for new Elden Ring content and are also a fan of The Lord of the Rings, then take a look at the following mod:

Raytracing? Lance McDonald also found references for a ray tracing shot. Maybe you’ll be able to admire the reflection effects in Elden Ring even more – if your PC is powerful enough.

What else is in Update 1.07?
The update mainly deals with balancing changes and bug fixes. The separate damage scaling for the PvP mode is particularly interesting. In a duel against other players, different damage scales are possible than in single player.
In addition, for example, ashes of war or the dragon fire were nerfed. You can find more information about Update 1.07 from our colleagues at GamePro.
We probably won’t have to wait too long for a new game from the Elden Ring makers either. Development for the previously unannounced game is said to be in its final stages.
