It’s been almost ten years since Payday 2 was released. Starbreeze Studios has been working on Payday 3 for some time now. With 2023, the developers have now given the title an approximate release period.
Almost ten years ago, Payday 2 was a co-op shooter that won many fans over. Many fans are all the more disappointed that a successor is still a long time coming. On the one hand, this shows the logo of the game, which, however, is quite unspectacular. More exciting is the statement that Payday 3 should appear sometime in 2023. Only the developers themselves know exactly when. If they finish by August, they could celebrate the tenth birthday of the predecessor with the release.
Starbreeze also owes us release platforms. However, Payday 3 should appear at least on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. At least one release on Steam is confirmed by the teaser, which also directly shatters the fans’ concerns. After the deal with Prime Matter, fears arose that the shooter could be a time exclusive in the Epic Game Store. on Valve’s distribution platform you can already put the game on your wish list.
With Payday 3, the crime gang leaves Washington behind. As we know from earlier info snippets, the robbers are drawn to New York City. The basic game principle should not have changed, but at least deal with more modern topics. For example, cryptocurrencies were mentioned as a possible element.
