We’ve known that Obsidian Entertainment can do role-playing games since Fallout: New Vegas at the latest. That it can sometimes be unusual, since Grounded. Pentiment is both – kind of RPG and kind of different and it has a date.
Pentiment by Obsidian Entertainment was already announced at the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase in June and surprised above all with its graphic style in the style of medieval drawings. You’ll soon be able to find out what’s behind the narrative adventure, because the game now has a release date.
Pentiment will be released on November 15th for PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. The game is also coming directly to Xbox Game Pass for console and PC. It’s also listed on Steam for a whopping 19.99 dollars.
This game from Obsidian is a historical puzzle RPG with a focus on character development, original design and a story set in the early 16th century. You take on the role of the clever artist Andreas Maler, who solves a series of murders over a period of 25 years in the fictional town of Tassing. Dialogues and your decisions along with their effects play a crucial role.
If you want a different kind of adventure role-playing game experience, this title could be just the thing for you. Especially since Obsidian Entertainment is well versed in the RPG genre.
