Xbox players have been asking for more Japanese games, and their demands have been answered. An iconic license comes with three games on consoles and PC.
Contrary to what Persona 5’s iconic theme says, we clearly saw it coming. A few hours before the Xbox conference, a insider shattered an unprecedented partnership between ATLUS and Microsoft. And it wasn’t missing.
Persona 5 Royal is coming to Xbox and PC
Phil Spencer proudly joined us to reinforce Xbox’s desire to attract more Japanese audiences. The green brand can count on the support of ATLUS and its largest license: Persona. For this occasion, the publisher will add three of its emblematic games to the Xbox Game Pass.
Unsurprisingly, it’s the most iconic of them all that’s about to open the ball: Persona 5 Royal. The improved version with daunting content will be available on October 21, 2021 for Xbox Series, Xbox One and PC. The title will then be followed by Persona 4 Golden and P3 Portable, which will be released on the same platforms at an as yet undetermined date.
However, one question remains on everyone’s lips: and the Switch? Unfortunately, ATLUS doesn’t seem to have a plan in this regard yet. Still, all hope is not lost. A recent poll asked gamers in North America if they would like to see the Persona franchise on Xbox and Switch. Now that one of its platforms is confirmed, the other might have its own port as well.
