The folks at My Nintendo News first reported that a Greek retailer may have leaked the news prematurely when it comes to Pikmin 4’s release date.
The long-awaited Pikmin 4, the game itself was released back in 2015 and is said to be nearing completion then as well. Only God knows what happened there. Either way, Pikmin 4 is on the way, hopefully soon.
For most of us, it was even forgotten for a while, until Shigeru Miyamoto himself showed up during the September 2022 Nintendo Direct to announce that fans could finally look forward to the game in 2023.
Nintendo has no word yet on when players expect to be able to play the game in 2023, but a Greek retailer may have accidentally pushed the release date back.
In the Pikmin 4 listing on the Game Explorer website, pre-orders for the game are open, and the listing says it will be available on May 26, 2023 at the time of writing.
Of course, this date is likely just a placeholder on the website, so it should be treated with caution. That said, we can never be sure. For now, there’s some hope for Pikmin fans that they’ll be able to take care of their little flora as summer begins.
Are you looking forward to Pikmin 4 finally being released?
