Platinum Games is expanding and looking at real-time service games.

Studio director Insushi Inaba explained in a blog post that Platinum is interested in game models that continue to evolve with new content months and years after release.
"So far, the name Platinum has almost synonymous with single-player action games," Inaba said. "But looking forward, we are looking to expand into new genres and game styles. For us, these new challenges One is the development of game consoles for real-time operation. "
It is unclear whether this work is entering a specific, yet-announced project. Only Japanese developers are interested in exploring this style of game development. Developers do confirm that at least all of this is for console games.
Platinum said that Tencent's recent investment has given it the ability to finally take this step, and has begun serious development of the GG project.
The Tokyo branch will officially open in April, but there are already some team members.
Although Platinum will publish these projects on its own, it is still interested in working with third-party publishers. The studio is currently fighting for Nintendo for Bayonetta 3 and for Baby Enron (Square Enix) for Babylon's Fall.
