Krafton announced season 11 of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds today and has some good news for fans: The Paramo map is celebrating a comeback.
With Update 11.1, the starting signal for season 11 in PUBG will also be given; It starts – as Krafton confirmed today – on March 31st on the PC and on April 8th on consoles. The focus is on the return of the popular 3×3 card Paramo, which is set in the South American highlands and has a dynamic environment.
Paramo was originally introduced during Season 9 in October 2020 and is now returning with fresh play options. The innovations include improvements to the terrain with additional hiding spots and an expansion of the dynamic system that changes important landmarks between rounds of the game. You can also expect increased spawn rates for items in the secret room and helicopter support.
Of course, season 11 not only includes Paramo, but also other innovations. A new ranking season starts over a period of two months, so that these no longer run parallel to the survivor passes. The distribution of the rewards has also been changed.
With the “Emergency Pickup” there is also a new item: a new means of transport with which you and your teams can quickly move across the site to the next safe zone. To do this, you can use a Fulton balloon at a great height; as soon as it is fully inflated, an airplane will arrive to pick you up within 60 seconds. Up to four players can be lifted into the air and carried to the White Zone. You can also disembark during the flight and parachute back onto the field.
Further innovations in season 11 at a glance:
- Championship medals: Season 11 adapts the championship medal system to allow players to better follow and showcase their key achievements in the game. There are now ten new medals that can be earned through various achievements while playing and are tied to certain combat situations and survival – or, as with the “So Close” medal, to survival. Championship Medals are available for purchase in both regular and ranked games, but are not available in Arcade, Labs, or Custom games.
- PUBG ID: In connection with the championship medal update, players can now present their earned medal as part of the revised PUBG ID. In addition to the option of adding up to two medals, players have the option of personalizing their PUBG ID via the “Customization” tab.
