Aside from the numerous new additions to PlayStation Plus, it is also important to face the other reality: A number of titles are leaving Sony’s game subscription again. In April there will be 11 titles – and here you can find out which ones they are.
Sony recently introduced numerous new additions to the more expensive PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium levels – i.e. the in-house game subscription that competes with the Xbox Game Pass. However, in a few weeks you will have to say goodbye to some game fodder again because Sony’s corresponding agreements with third-party developers will then expire. In April 2024, 11 titles will say goodbye to the game subscription, which will probably no longer be available from April 16th, although new additions will be added again.
The “Leaving Soon” category now contains the titles that will soon be leaving PlayStation Plus. To give the all-clear in advance: These are largely smaller indie titles; the biggest name of the departures is probably the fighting game Soul Calibur 6 from Bandai Namco.
The entire list of 11 departures in April 2024 reads as follows:
- Bassmaster Fishing 2022 (PS4, PS5)
- Chicken Police – Paint It RED (PS4)
- Dangerous Golf (PS4)
- Everspace (PS4)
- Fighting EX Layer (PS4)
- Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered (PS4)
- Gunvolt Chronicles Luinous Avengers IX (PS4)
- Necromunda: Underhive Wars (PS4)
- Reel Fishing: Road Trip Adventure (PS4)
- R-Type Final 2 (PS4)
- Soul Calibur 6 (PS4)
If you still want to play the games as part of an existing PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium subscription, you should hurry up until mid-April, because from then on it will no longer be possible to play these games with a subscription. Of the titles mentioned above, you will have to allow the most time for the sci-fi epic Everspace.
