From May 2, 2023, all subscribers to the basic subscription PlayStation Plus Essential will be able to look forward to three games again. These will then be available for free download until June 6, before the new game line-up for the summer month follows. Until May 2nd you can still secure the games of the April offer.
What is there to gamble in May? First and foremost, racing game fans will get their money’s worth, because GRID Legends is available on both PS4 and PS5. The title is already available via EA Play for members there and is now making the leap to PS Plus. It’s the latest installment in the Codemasters racing game franchise – complete with a cinematic FMV story mode set up like some kind of TV series.
There is also the multiplayer action title Chivalry 2 to dust off – also for PS4 and PS5. In it you can experience epic medieval battles. In sprawling environments ranging from tournament grounds to castle sieges, you can compete with four classes and 12 subclasses – each with unique weapons and abilities. Up to 64 players compete against each other in the battles – on the PS5 even in 4K at 60 fps.
Rounding out the lineup is PS4 title Descenders, a downhill bike game that aims to be easy to pick up but hard to master. The title features an in-depth physics system, procedurally generated levels, various jumps and inclines, and more.
