With October just around the corner, Sony is laying the groundwork for the game lineup on PlayStation Plus. You can find out here which three titles subscribers to the Essential level can look forward to.
Unlike last month, Sony is going back to the old practice of first announcing the three free games on PlayStation Plus Essential for next month – in this case October. A simultaneous announcement of the additional titles for Premium and Extra is still being avoided for the moment; one of these is to be expected in the further course of October.
What do all PS Plus subscribers get in their hands? First up is the brawler Injustice 2 for PlayStation 4. From the creators of the Mortal Kombat series, it’s dedicated to the superheroes of the DC Universe, allowing you to engage in epic battles with iconic heroes and supervillains in multiple locations around the globe can. There is a local and an online mode; a single-player campaign is also on board.
This is then joined by the first-person shooter Superhot, in which time only passes when you move. The boundaries between cautious strategy and unbridled chaos are blurred. Above all, the shooter has made a name for itself because there is no HUD with health indicators or ammunition supplies. You must always grab the weapons of defeated opponents to survive.
The line-up is rounded off by Hot Wheels Unleashed, which is not only available for the PS4 but also for the PS5. This is an arcade simulator set in the Hot Wheels universe. You can earn new vehicles, compete in 2-player split-screen, or compete in online challenges with up to 12 players.
All three titles will be available starting Tuesday, October 4th and continuing through October 31st. You can still get the free games from the September lineup until October 4th.
