At its in-house “State of Play” presentations, Sony regularly shows fresh trailers and presents new information about upcoming PlayStation titles. According to rumors, the next edition won’t be long in coming; we could get fresh information about Silent Hill 2, among other things, as early as May.
As is known, the last “real” State of Play took place in January 2024. Among other things, we saw fresh material for Stellar Blade, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Silent Hill 2 Remake, the new edition of Until Dawn and Rise of the Ronin. Apart from the latter game, all are currently still in development.

There was another presentation in February 2024, but this focused on Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, which has now also been published. So now the question arises as to when Sony will next provide us with fresh information about upcoming PlayStation games.
According to Giant Bomb editor Jeff Grubb, the next event shouldn’t be too far away. According to him, Sony will publish the next presentation in May. Grubb says he doesn’t currently know whether it’s really a state of play or a showcase.
However, he probably already has deeper knowledge about which game will be the focus. Accordingly, the remake of Silent Hill 2 should take up a larger space. Where exactly he got his information and how reliable it is is currently unclear.
At least the planned date would fit in with Sony’s other cycle. As soon as we have more details, we will of course let you know.
