Like last year, Pokemon Go The Halloween event will be split into two parts, the first of which will begin on October 20th.
This year’s event will debut with a Halloween-themed special research Super Bennett, with plenty of ghostly and dark-type Pokémon roaming around.
The event will also feature timed research and two tickets will be available. Ticket 1 will cost you $1 and give you access to Timed Research, which includes encounters with Yamask and Galarian Yamask. Ticket 2 will cost you $5, and it gives you access to timed studies that include increased candy bonuses, additional Halloween-themed quests, and avatar poses.
You can purchase one of the tickets, or both tickets at the same time. Each ticket has a unique timed research mission that expires on November 1st. So be sure to complete and claim your rewards before the time runs out.
Professor Willow’s special research will allow you to assist him and Rhi, and you’ll learn more about Yask and Galarian Yamask along the way. Also, in Pokemon Go, you’ll encounter Shiny Galarian Yamask for the first time.
The following Pokemon will hatch from 7km eggs during the event: Yamask, Galarian Tamask, Phantump and Golett. If you’re lucky, a shiny Noibat might even pop up. Additionally, if hatched from these eggs, Noibat will also be more likely to be shiny than eggs found in the wild.
The following Pokemon appear more frequently in the wild: Zubat, Gastly, Haunter, Spinarak, Murkrow, Misdreavus, Sableye, Suppet, Dusclops, Absol, Drifloon, Yamask, Golett, Phantump, and Pumpkaboo.
At this point, the Spooky Pose in the in-game store will be updated to include moves. This update will apply to all future and past Spooky Pose purchases. There will also be new Halloween-themed avatar items such as the Dusclops costume, Dusclops Headwrap and Zubat headband
To make the event even more festive, PokeStops and Gyms will be decorated during the holiday season and a mix of Lavender Town music will be played every night during the event. For music expectations, check out the above video from last year’s event.
Through raids, from October 20th to November 1st, Altered Forme Giratina will appear in five-star raids. Pokemon will know the featured attack Shadow Force.
One-star raids will feature Sableye, Purrloin, Yamask, Galarian Yamask, and Phantump, while three-star raids will feature Gengar, Umbreon, Drifblim, and Drapion.
Event rewards will include 2× Candy for catching, hatching and transferring. Trainers at level 31 and above are guaranteed 1 XL Candy when they walk with their buddies.
Finally, completing field research missions may encounter Shuppet, Duskull, Yamask, Galarian Yask, and Phantump. Completing certain Field Research missions will also earn Gengar and Absol Mega Energy.
Have fun outside.
