Defending Arena will soon no longer be the only way to get Pokepieces, the currency of Pokémon GO. Niantic has announced that an overhaul is currently under preparation.
On the official site of the mobile game, Niantic explains looking for "ways to allow you to win Pokepieces without moving". With this in mind, several activities (a first list presented below) can be carried out each day to receive five Pokepieces. To counterbalance this novelty, the number of Poképièces won for the defense of the Arena will be reduced from six per hour to two, and the maximum number of Poképièces that you can earn per day will increase to 55.
The update is currently being tested in Australia only and depending on feedback, adjustments may be made to this "redesign" before its official deployment.
