Poll Reveals Most Popular Scarlet and Purple Pokemon

The lovely folks over at Nintendo Life first spotted a poll conducted by GameWith to determine what everyone’s favorite Pokemon, Scarlet and Violet, are. With the addition of Generation 9, we finally have our 1,000th Pokémon, and with Scarlet and Violet boasting over 400 to catch, it’s hard to decide on your favourite.

From December 16th to 23rd, the top 30 most popular Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet were voted in Japan, with 177,829 fans voting. The results include some expected fan favorites such as various Eeveelution, Lucario, Gardevoir and Gengar. Koraidon and Miraidon also managed to break into the top 20, along with the brand new rat Pokémon Maushold.

However, who won the top spot? I know exactly who my favorite Gen 9 Pokemon are, and it turns out I’m not alone. The Pokémon with the most votes was Dinkaton the Rabbit. A steel/goblin-type Pokemon that packs a punch, this bad guy swept the Elite Four for me, and I love them.

In second place is the new Wooper evolution Clodsire, with the final evolution of the Paldean starter Meowscarada in third. The top thirty also includes Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Skeledirge, Fuecoco’s final evolution. You’ll also notice that Quaxly and their evolutions didn’t make it into the top 30 Gen 9 Pokémon, which is a shame to see, but this obnoxious dancing duck deserves its name.
