In the summer of 2020, Capcom presented the somewhat mysterious Pragmata at the PlayStation Showcase; the sci-fi hope has now been officially postponed.
When Capcom presented Pragmata at the PlayStation Showcase in summer 2020, there was undoubtedly a touch of Kojima in the air. The trailer for the sci-fi title showed an astron aut and a little girl who suddenly find themselves on the moon after chaos in an empty city. The scenery was inevitably reminiscent of Kojim’s most recent title, Death Stranding.
Kojima may not be involved in pragmata and we currently know very little about the history and playing style of the title, but it is now officially that we will have to wait longer for tangible details and a way to play.
After the original announcement was still about a release in 2022, a trailer for the CES at the beginning of the year suddenly indicated a launch only in 2023. A statement in the form of an official postponement to this year was a long time coming – until now!
Via Capcom Unity it has now been confirmed that although they are “working hard on the project”, the release window will unfortunately have to be postponed to 2023 “to ensure that it will be an unforgettable adventure”. As a small compensation they published the following new artwork and thanked them for their patience.
Incidentally, Pragmata will not only appear for PS5, but is also planned for PC and Xbox Series X / S – but only for 2023.
