Once the prologue ends with the elimination of the Materia Guardian on the 1st floor of the prospecting site, you will need to progress further in the main storyline of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth to meet Midgardsormr, the giant serpent that rages across the plains.
Then all you have to do is continue your adventure at your own pace to advance into the Junon region, except that three notable enemies will block your path: Elena and Rude, as well as the Mithril Golem. And once these three enemies are defeated, you can continue your epic.
However, before you leave the Prairie Region to begin Chapter 4, there are still many side activities to complete so you can leave with peace of mind.
