Digital sales are ahead
Buy digitally or physically? This question of faith concerns players again and again. At Cyberpunk 2077, the key versions seem to have the edge. CD Projekt CFO Piotr Nielubowicz stated:
“When it comes to pre-orders, digital is very strong. (…) How far we are going to go? We honestly don’t know, definitely further than with The Witcher 3 and definitely more than 50 percent should come through the digital channel The Witcher 3 shows that the longer a game has been on the market, the more it shifts towards the digital. With Witcher 3 it is the vast majority. “
Overall, CD Projekt is very satisfied with the pre-orders so far. As expected, the number increases the closer the launch gets.
