Game News Prince of Persia: A DLC at a surprisingly attractive price has just been released!
Prince of Persia The Lost Crown returns today with a DLC that has some serious arguments! What’s more, it’s offered at a great price.
It all seems far away to us, but at the beginning of the year – before the madness of Palworld and Helldivers 2 – the Prince of Persia series finally returned with Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. A 2.5D Metroidvania (a first for this license) that won over the press and players… On the reference site Metacritic, the Ubisoft title scored 86/100, and for us – in our review – he “set the bar high” meets all the criteria of a very good action-adventure platform game. A must-have of the genre that returns today with a DLC that is now available.
A bit dark
This DLC is called “The Mask of Darkness”. Here, the hero Sargon is trapped in the mental palace of Radjen, one of his former comrades… And believe us, the man is not hiding any lucky charms in his head! Our character must face Platform challenges that seem to get harder than in the base adventure. On its official website, Ubisoft announces “a dozen types of new traps” and new enemies, some of which look like disjointed dolls. At the end of a path full of pitfalls lie unpublished secrets that, according to the French company, “will add a new dimension to the story of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.”
To spice things up a bit, as Ubisoft explains, Sargon is “stripped of his health, potions, and amulets” as soon as he enters the Mind Palace… Most importantly, Our hero will also lose all the powers he acquired after the Shadow of Simurgh. In other words, he will only have this last skill and Simurgh Rush will remain. The first skill allows the character to create a clone and teleport to his location at any time. The second is a dash, which serves in particular to extend a jump in a straight line. But don’t worry: your entire arsenal that you worked hard to acquire in the main story will be returned to you as soon as you leave the Mind Palace.
A small price
Some more details: to access the content of the Mask of Darkness, you must first complete the Depths area and unlock the Shadow of Simurgh (this happens in the first part of the adventure). The expansion gives access to an area and a standalone story and the first feedback speaks of a lifespan between 3 and 6 hours. The price for all this? Only $4.99. As a reminder, this is a DLC, so to benefit from it you must own the base game, whether on PC or console.
