2022 bodes well for the PlayStation 4, but it’s slowly losing ground in favor of a hard-working PS5. However, if we see the arrival of major franchises in the months ahead, January isn’t really a very busy time: here are the most interesting titles to come out in the coming weeks.

MADiSON
Developed by Nosebleed Games, an ambitious little studio, MADiSON is a psychological survival horror whose aim is to play with our nerves in the purest tradition of the genre: here, The object of preference is a camera that enables us to bridge the gap between the real world and that of ghosts, with obviously some hiccups in the program. We then find a rather interventionist game that is very inspired by popular games like Layers of Fear or Visage and is based on recurring puzzles and effective jump scares. The only disadvantage? The developers recently faced a copyright issue regarding the name “MADiSON” and are unsure whether the title will be released on January 7th as planned. While you wait for good news or bad news, be prepared to see it land in early 2022.
As far as gameplay and level design are concerned, you might as well say that Rainbow Six has nothing more to prove: Siege is clearly a benchmark in terms of tactical FPS and eSports and will not run out of steam yet. However, Ubisoft is aware of the potential of Back 4 Blood or more generally Left 4 Dead and other PvE co-op FPS and has decided to intervene in its formula in this particular genre: Here is Rainbow Six: Extraction, a title that requires multiple players to team up to face a supernatural threat infected in support. With its twelve levels (each divided into three sectors with precise architecture), thirteen mission types, eighteen agents and dozen of technologies that should be used intelligently in the right place and at the right time, the software promises to be very interesting. A cocktail that could well combine the finesse of Rainbow Six and the nagging side of the zombie universe.
Windjammer 2
In 1994 the legendary SNK publisher Windjammers published an arcade sports game developed by Data East, the success of which began immediately: After several ports in the 2010s, a sequel was finally launched and as much to say as this one. If one had to summarize the concept, one could say that it is a game of Frisbee when viewed from above: In reality This thundering action game is inspired by many disciplines like tennis or volleyball with an ultra-edgy, approachable, and terribly fun side that no one needs to prove.
walker
It’s been a while since the PlayStation VR got a game worthy of the name: Sony certainly hasn’t forgotten it, and while waiting for a second headset to appear, here’s Wanderer, an honestly interesting title made by Oddboy New Zealanders and M. was developed -theory Americans. We play Asher Neumann, a man who has to travel through the centuries to change the course of time and save humanity: with many puzzles, but also action sequences and other very haunting, the player then explores iconic moments in history such as Woodstock, the end of the Mayan civilization, the painful Second World War, the conquest of space or even a meeting with a certain Nicolas Tesla. A journey that, frankly, arouses curiosity: In virtual reality, the experience naturally promises to be really tempting.
