4K is at the heart of the new generation of consoles, but what about 1440p (QHD)?
Unlike the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, the PS5 does not natively support this image definition, only 1080p and Ultra HD.
The writing of IGN Italy had confirmation of the information from a Sony spokesperson. For our part, we also noticed during our handling of the console that the PS5 does not natively support 1440p, a definition particularly widespread on monitors used by PC players. If you connect a PS5 to a 1440p screen, the console displays upscaled 1080p definition, for image quality which is therefore not optimal.
