The PS5 is getting some rad features today thanks to the beta rollout of some new UX features. Foremost among these is the ability to use PS4 save data to play PS5 games, which could take away one of the biggest pain points of the jump to the current generation.
Unfortunately, we can’t jump in and try out these new features right now, as only a small number of invited participants will be able to test the popularity of the UX upgrade in the coming months. However, everything that is tweaked and messed with now should end up in everyone’s system.
Accessing PS4 save files isn’t everything either. Discord integration to allow you to better communicate with your friends in-game (or, if you’re like me, chat with your PC buddies via console exclusives) is in the works. Screen sharing can also be requested from your PSN friends’ profiles, allowing you to quickly watch them.
