Month after month, the futuristic battle royale mobile spin-off PUBG: New State is updated – also this January. This time, the men have prepared a number of balancing changes that should clearly shake up the meta.
The patch rhythm of PUBG: New State on iOS and Android will not change in the new year, which is why the January update is now on the agenda. In doing so, Krafton makes quite profound changes to the gameplay, because numerous balancing changes lead to a noticeable meta change. Various weapons, vehicles and the drone shop have been adjusted. You can see what the developers have been working on in detail in the official statement below.
In addition to these balancing changes, there will of course also be other innovations in January. The Team Deathmatch mode is making its debut on the Arena map, there are new patterns for the Shooting Range and Siege mode, and – of course – a new Survivor Pass.
The most important features of the update according to official information at a glance:
- Meta Shift: Based on player feedback, balancing changes have been made to weapons and vehicles to provide a more dynamic experience. First, ranged damage for SMGs, ARs, and LMGs has been reduced to increase the ability of weapons that have been unpopular in the past. Secondly, the vehicles have been adjusted more precisely according to their types. Vehicles like the Vrion, Electron, and UAZ are more durable, while sedans now have increased speed and motorcycles have increased stability to make handling easier. Finally, the Drone Shop has had its cooldown reduced, delivery speed increased, and item prices drastically adjusted. These measures are intended to allow players to use a wider arsenal in different situations and have a more positive gaming experience.
- TDM enters Arena: Players can now play TDM in Arena, previously only possible in Round Deathmatch Mode (RDM). The first team to reach 30 eliminations wins the match in TDM. After elimination, players will respawn in a random location near their base. Utility Packs do not spawn in the center of the map in TDM.
- Shooting Range and Siege Mode Updates: Changes have been made to the shooting range and reduced SR bonus points from 800 to 500. Siege mode, which was recently introduced to New State Labs with last month’s update, has seen additional structure and difficulty changes, and leaderboards have been reset. A detailed overview can be found in the patch notes on the New-State-Website.
- Survivor Pass Vol. 15 brings new exclusive items: Survivor Pass Vol. 15 introduces Keepers from the Dream Runner Faction! Players can experience Keeper’s backstory in the pass’s story quests. Once all missions are completed, players will receive Keeper’s face.
