If there’s one saga that’s never been unanimous in cinema, it’s obviously Hellboy. And yet it returns, and in better shape than ever.

Summary

  • A Hellboy reboot in the drawers
  • Several films in preparation

A Hellboy reboot in the drawers

You remember Guillermo del Toro’s two Hellboy films, if so, I feel sorry for you… Note, however, that you are not alone because Millennium Media, the studio behind the Expendables films or the very latest Rambo, recently announced that it wants to continue the saga from scratch with a reboot. To go further, note that This new movie already has a director, Brian Taylor (Crank), and even a title. The movie will be called Hellboy: The Crooked Man.

As the name suggests, this new story will draw heavily on the 2008 comic of the same name, which according to the company Millennium Media is one of the “most popular issues”, and aims to expand the universe of the character created by Mike Mignola develop.

Besides, that’s the good news Mike Mignola himself will take part in the project, as he co-wrote the screenplay with Christopher Golden (who has previously worked on Hellboy comics). We can therefore hope that everything is true to the original.

The Crooked Man marks a departure from all previously released Hellboy films, in which Mike Mignola and the comics writer will finally present an authentic interpretation of the stories and characters of this universe in film form. Jeffrey Greenstein, President of Millennium Media

Several films in preparation

If we were expecting this reboot to settle for a single movie, you know it isn’t. Indeed, Jeffrey Greenstein, president of Millennium Media, has indicated that he wants to create several Hellboy feature films.

It’s the first in a series of films that will captivate audiences in both familiar and new ways. Brian Taylor is an expert in all fields and I couldn’t think of a better person to bring this story to life and bring this different and original Hellboy film series to our audience. Jeffrey Greenstein

At the moment, the movie Hellboy: The Crooked Man has not released any pictures or cast information. So you have to be patient.
