With Razers Sensa HD Haptics, vibrations are intended to intensify the immersion in games or when watching films.

The technology is not new. The gaming headsets already scratch the V3 hypersense, octopus v3 pro and Kaira Pro (Test bei GamePro) Trumped with haptic feedback.

At that time it wasn't from Sensa HD Haptics the talk, but of HyperSense.

This and last year followed another gaming headset, the costly octopus V4 Pro (test), and a chair support called Freyja. Both products could not completely convince me in the test.

For several reasons: The compatible game selection was limited at the time of the test and the type of title was not necessarily conclusive.

Both in Silent Hill 2 and Final Fantasy 16, the combination of octopus V4 Pro offered me no real added value under the butt. The implementation seemed little success. In any case, there could hardly be any talk of more immersion.

In both articles from me to the respective products, I wanted more suitable games, especially racing simulations:

What Sensa HD Haptics wants to do differently now

With the update for Sensa HD Haptics, Razer could now have fulfilled my and also the wishes of other testers.

Razer has a partnership with SimHub announced, a leading platform for haptics in racing simulations.

With the help of simhub If the manufacturer wants to integrate its Sensa HD Haptics software into more than 90 racing titles, such as the Assetto Corsa series.

In a video, Razer shows various situations in the Gameplay by Assetto Corsa Evo:

To see in the video, the two devices I tested and already linked above are Freyja and Kraken V4 Pro.

Partnerships with game developers should experience gamers who own Sensa HD Haptics-capable products, but are said to be able to experience a more realistic and complex haptic feedback.

Of course, as a big Haptics fan, I am very excited to see whether the devices I have tested may be able to pick me up completely. I will of course try it out and tell you.

However, the Kraken V4 Pro with around 450 dollars (RRP) Razers is the most expensive gaming headset so far. It is now offered online from 400 dollars. Even the gaming pillow Freyja is not necessarily a bargain with around 300 dollars (RRP).

If you want and can add up the combination of both, you will probably consider twice whether a couple of vibrations tailored to the game are really worth such prices.

If the innovations work as advertised by Razer, it could now benefit racing game enthusiasts.

The new SIM racing setup should be available worldwide from March 21, 2025.
