Razer will of course be there at CES 2022 to present some products. In this case, a gaming desktop concept is quite … extraordinary.
An idea that we often forget: the office itself is very important to the player’s wellbeing. But this time around, Razer offers something completely different. In fact, the manufacturer is introducing the Sophia project, which the company presents as “the first real concept for desktop games in the world”.. Just that.
A simple office? No answer Razer
This is what Razer announces:
The Razer Project Sophia is our futuristic version of a versatile gaming and workstation setup that meets very different requirements. Project Sophia eliminates the need to switch between work areas. The system is instantly scalable so that users can quickly reconfigure their desktops with almost infinite flexibility and adapt Project Sophia not only to the task at hand, but also to the particular preferences of the user.
In other words, it’s an ultra-modular desktop PC that can support 13 separate modules for full customization. Second screen, audio mixer, capture card, everything is available to have most tools at hand. The video above gives you a good idea of what Razer thinks of this.
A PC in the office or an office in the PC?
It is a so-called “intelligent” desktop in the sense that it consists of electronic devices, in particular an Intel chip and an Nvidia GPU of the latest generation. Everything is equipped with a new generation OLED screen, which has self-illuminating pixels. The set can turn into a streaming station or desktop for more classic gamers in seconds.
Right now it’s just a project and we don’t even know if Razer has prototypes, but the idea stays very nice. So don’t expect a price or release date anytime soon.
