Rebirth Island He’s back in Call of Duty: Pacific Warzone ahead of the Call of Duty: Pacific Warzone Season 4: Mercenaries of Fortune update. While the map was previously removed from the event playlist in preparation for the new Season 4 map, Fortune’s Keep, continued and enthusiastic community feedback led to Rebirth’s return for a short period of time.

For now, the all-squad-scale Rebirth Resurgence playlist has replaced the Caldera Resurgence playlist, allowing players to dive into a fast-paced version of the game’s larger map. That means anyone who wants to get more Respawn Island games ahead of its temporary removal on June 22 has a chance to do so.

The announcement came via a post on Raven Software’s official Twitter account (embedded below), which in turn received positive reviews from many of those who had previously opposed the removal of Respawn Island. One user, popular Warzone streamer and content creator JGOD, noted the speed of change, saying it was: “I think the fastest playlist tweak we’ve ever seen.”

All in all, the 180 makes perfect sense and is definitely the right choice. While the decision was made to give the player base some respawn detox ahead of the launch of Season 4’s Fortune Island – a map similar in size and speed to Respawn Island – in reality, it’s just wiped out what’s already been lost because it’s been in a matter of days. That way, reborn diehards can work things out in the short term before jumping right into a fresher experience later in the week.
