Trailer: What do the first game scenes show?
This is what the first trailer shows: At the State of Play in June 2022, Capcom released a first teaser trailer, which also shows a few isolated gameplay scenes, you can see the video below. Anyone who already knows Resident Evil 4 will feel right at home with it.
What it’s about: So we see how Leon S. Kennedy (who fans of course know from Resident Evil 2 or Resident Evil 6) goes in search of the kidnapped president’s daughter: Ashley Graham. The survivors of Raccoon City end up in a remote European village where a completely new zombie horror awaits them.
But of course, the Los Ganados from Resident Evil 4 are not classic zombies, but a new type of bioweapon. But let’s not go into detail here in case there is actually someone among our readers who does not know the original Resident Evil 4 yet.
Reunion with old friends: The first teaser trailer for Resident Evil 4 shows not only Leon but also other old acquaintances. Such as Ada Wong, Luis Sera and Osmund Saddler, the villain of the game. Individual game scenes also give us first impressions of the village and the castle. Just take a look at the trailer for yourself:

Story and gameplay: What stays the same, what will be different?
Everything new and a little bit different: Like the Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes, the Resident Evil 4 remake is being redeveloped from the ground up. The responsible developers at Capcom want to keep the spirit of the predecessor, but also allow themselves a few narrative and playful liberties to modernize the now 17-year-old game for the year 2023.

Many open questions: What exactly that should look like is not yet known. One can only hope that Capcom has learned from the Resident Evil 3 remake. Because here the criticism of numerous fans was loud that too much content from the original was shortened or deleted. You can read our review here:
