If you’ve played Cyberpunk 2077, one of the scenes that’s likely to be etched in your mind is the one where you take the stage with the samurai before Johnny Silverhand is abandoned. One thing you might not know, however, is that the subsequent kidnapping scene was originally recorded as much more tragic.
If you need a refresher now, we’re far enough away from the original Cyberpunk that work has begun on the sequel, and one of Johnny’s past V moments is his cyberrunner girlfriend Art Cannigram (Alt Cunnigham) Kidnapped moment. Arasaka. This is an important development that you need to see to try and understand why Keanu Reeves’ character behaves the way he does at times, and CD Projekt’s original plan seemed to be to make it more emotional and pain.

Speaking on CDPR’s recent REDstream, Cunningham’s voice actor Alix Wilton Regan noted that the scene was one of the most emotional performances she’s had to do in the game, and It was mentioned that only a small portion of the recorded content made it into the game. Finished product. “When they kidnapped Art and took her away, we documented more violence, we documented more fear and more tears,” Regan recalled.
“[CD Projekt] Hopefully it was really traumatic and I was like, ‘Well, yeah, the bad guys aren’t [messing] Basically” so they wanted it to be scary and it was so there were tears [from me] At that moment,” she continued. “But, that was just edited [down] actual entered version [finished] game. “
Considering how important this scene is to Silverhand’s emotional angle, I think in the base version of Cyberpunk 2077 he felt like he was fighting V for quite some time to become the protagonist and hear the CD Projekt Sound surprisingly seems to have chosen to tone it down. While I generally prefer things that are subtle, I do think that moments like this have more of a punch or are given more emphasis that might make me enjoy the base version of Cyberpunk’s main story as much as I enjoy Cyberpunk’s main I like the story the same way. Phantom Free Expansion Pack.
Then again, upping the emotional stakes for key scenes like this can sometimes feel a little f orced or overdone, so the best thing that comes out of it is that we get a version of the final scene.
If you think about what might feel like just another cyberpunk game, it might be worth checking out this new mod, which aims to make the search for all the hidden secrets in Phantom Free Dog Town even more immersive Its context and value.
