An update recently caused an outcry among PC gamers of the Resident Evil 2 and 3 remake, as it removed the ray tracing option. Now Capcom has improved quite quickly.
About a week ago, a small update for the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 caused concern because it removed the ray tracing option actually available on the PC as well as the one for 3D audio. Nothing was officially communicated at first, so that the background initially remained unclear and players sometimes left angry.
A few days later, Capcom commented on this and indicated that the removal of the features was of an unintentional nature and that they want to fix the error quickly – and they have now done so.
A new patch has now been released for both games on the PC, which brings back the previously existing ray tracing options to the horror games. The unintended circumstances of the update from a week ago should hopefully be a thing of the past and bring back 3D audio.
Four Resident Evil games make the leap to the switch via the cloud.
