This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the Resident Evil series in virtual reality. The original Resident Evil 4 is playable in VR and is one of the best VR games out there. With respawning battles and a more powerful-looking Chainsaw Man stalking your tail during RE4 Remake, this new VR experience could topple its predecessor in terms of horror experience.
And let’s not forget the latest entry from the Resident Evil universe, Resident Evil Village. Castle Dimitrescu is now available as a free downloadable DLC for game owners to experience on PSVR2 in all its glory. However, if you don’t have a PSVR2, you can use Praydog’s mod to access Village and Resident Evil 7: Resident Evil on your VR headset.
Modder, Praydog, also provided VR mods for Resident Evil 2 and 3. So, if you can’t sit around and wait for Resident Evil 4 Remake to release, or patiently wait for the shiny PSVR2 to deliver, there are plenty of other Resident Evil VR experiences out there.
Resident Evil 4 Remake will be released on March 24 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. There’s no confirmation yet on when the game’s VR mode will arrive.
