Capcom doesn't want to do it really officially yet what exactly with Resident Evil 9. We know that it is in development, but that was largely. The fans are looking forward to an official announcement and a new teaser indicates that it is within reach.
The release of Resident Evil 8: Village is now over three and a half years in the past, so it is urgently time for new food. Although Capcom has been giving us very strong remake old parts for some time, they do not comfort them over a real fresh offshoot.

Fortunately, we have known for some time that Resident Evil 9 is really under development. But that was already with official information, there are still a few spongy statements from insiders. For example, according to the normally well informed Dusk Golem, the title should “reinvent the series”, whatever it may look exactly.
The fans continue to sit on glowing coals and are waiting for the official unveiling of Resident Evil 9. Now there is a new teaser that ensures turmoil in the community. However, it is actually not about the upcoming offshoot, instead Capcom celebrates the success of the past with the small video.
In the meantime, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, Resident Evil 8: Village and Resident Evil 4 have been able to crack the 10 million players. To celebrate this milestone, a video was published, which shows scenes from the village in Village, among other things.
Capcom is teasing ‘Resident Evil 9’ in its newly released 10M units sold celebration video.

Here we see a guide that is also in the original and consists of two crossed wooden boards. But another bar was added to the social media clip. If you turn the picture on the side, there is “IX”, which of course is the Roman spelling of the number 9.
Well, if that's not a reference to Resident Evil 9! The extent to which Capcom wants to indicate an early unveiling is of course still in the stars. In any case, we will stay excited and inform you as soon as there is something new.
