The official announcement by Netflix is still pending, but in the meantime it seems more than certain that a series implementation of the survival horror brand Resident Evil is actually in the house. Earlier rumors said that this would not directly take up the storylines of the games themselves – and this is now suggested by the alleged leaked summary.
The fan page Resident Evil Database has apparently approached the Brazilian subsidiary of Netflix directly after the latest rumors of a series implementation and has received an opinion against expectations. This should be the synopsis of the series.
If the report turns out to be accurate, the Netflix series will be in games around 26 years after the T-Virus was discovered. The scene will be in Clearfield, Maryland, where the early stages of a new epidemic are taking place. The Synopsis also mentions the notorious Umbrella Corporation and the now closed Greenwood Asylum and Washington D.C. – and these should jointly try to keep the virus secret from the public.
Earlier leaks on the series reported that the series should focus on the two Albert Wesker half-sisters. We will of course keep you up to date on further developments.
The next game within the franchise will be the Resident Evil 3 remake, which will be available on April 3, 2020 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
