With Riders Republic, Ubisoft has been working on a very promising multiplayer game for a long time, which should actually have started in February. Unfortunately, nothing will come of it.
The developer and publisher has now officially confirmed that Riders Republic will miss the targeted release date on February 25, 2021. Unfortunately, Ubisoft does not name a specific new launch date, but rather simply refers to the rest of the year 2021, which should then bring the release with it.
The reason given for the postponement was that they wanted to give the development team the necessary time to create the “best possible fun gaming experience” for the players. How long they actually have to wait longer is initially in the stars.
Riders Republic is the new game from the creators of the extreme sports game Steep. You compete in PvP races with 50 other players on motorcycles, skis, snowboards, with wingsuits and more. You can let off steam in a spacious open game world around the American national parks Bryce Canyon, Yosemite Valley and Mammoth Mountain.
In various multiplayer modes, you will also be able to form a squad, for example in downhill races or in team-vs-team competitions. The release is planned for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Stadia and PC (Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Store).
