Valorant aka Project A is by no means the only game in development at the Studio Riot Games in Los Angeles besides the Evergreen League of Legends and the decoupling Teamfight Tactics. The new tactical shooter Valorant was officially unveiled on March 2, 2020, is slated for release in summer 2020 and aims to impress with its mix of counter-strike and overwatch.
In this message we summarize for you which games currently under development at Riot Games are. Some of them are still at an early stage, while others are already becoming more apparent.
A card game: Legends of Runeterra
Still 2020 Legends of Runeterra appear and as fans can easily recognize by the name, it is a card game that takes place in the LoL universe. LoR revolves around the heroes of the MOBA and is inspired by Blizzard's trading card game Hearthstone.
With a special feature: We are less dependent on chance when collecting cards and instead free up cards by leveling up. With real money, specific cards can also be produced or bought directly, with the latter variant being limited to a limited number per week.
A management sim: League of Legends Esports Manager
With the LoL Esports Manager Riot wants to map the competitive business of e-sports in the League of Legends universe. We build a team and accompany it as a manager through the e-sports league. The focus is on team composition, tactics and business aspects such as player transfers and contracts.
The game starts real teams and players, League of Legends Esports Manager is scheduled to appear during LPL 2020, before April 19, 2020.
A fighting game: Project L
We come to the more nebulous projects, for which only the code names and some details are known. With Project L
So we fight in classic side view with our opponent and use powerful combos and special attacks to be superior in all combat situations.
The release may still be a long way off. Riot announced in the summer of 2019 that Project L hadn't even reached alpha status.
An action role-playing game: Project F
So far, Riot has very little information Project F drop. According to a first screenshot, it is an ARG that immediately awakens associations with Diablo, Path of Exiles or Torchlight due to its iso-perspective.
In Project F we explore the world of Runeterra, according to Riot with our friends – The co-op approach is already known from Diablo and its associates. The developers have so far been silent for an approximate release period.
About Riot Forge: Ruined King and Conv / rgence
Riot Games only acts as publisher and licensor for two other games in the League of Legends universe. It is Ruined King from developer Airship Syndicate and Conv / rgence: from Double Stallion. Both games have the addition "A League of Legends Story" to create a connection to LoL.
- Ruined King: An RPG with turn-based battles driven by its history around Bilgewater and the Shadow Isles.
- Conv / rgence: A jump & run in which we control the hero Ekko, who can influence time.
Both games don't have a release date yet. When the time comes, Ruined King and Conv / rgence should appear for both PC and consoles.
