Rockstar Games reached into the postage of postage to buy an Australian studio and want to make Rockstar Australia out of it.
At Rockstar Games, the signs are expansion. After the latest press release, the GTA developers want to incorporate the Australian developer Video Games Deluxe and make Rockstar Australia from them. Video Games Deluxe has already worked with Rockstar Games several times in the past, including re -releases such as La Noire VR Case Files, as well as Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition for iOS and Android updates of the console versions.
The founder of Video Games Deluxe also has close connections to Rockstar Games through his former Studio Team Boni, which at the time developed the Thriller La Noire.
“After many years of close cooperation, we are pleased that Video Games Deluxe, as rock star Australia, is joining the team,” said Jennifer Kolbe, Head of Publishing with Rockstar Games.
“It has been an honor for us to work closely with Rockstar Games in the past ten years,” said Brendan McNamara, founder of Video Games Deluxe. “We are happy to be part of Rockstar Games and continue to do our best to develop the best possible games.”
It is currently still unclear what role Video Games Deluxe should take on as Rockstar Australia. According to rumors, the studio should already work on an AAA title for Rockstar Games that has not yet been announced. Rockstar Games itself is currently eager to finalize the long -awaited GTA 6 and possibly publish this year. Rockstar Australia should have little to do with it.
