Signs that Rockstar has other plans for its flagship series prior to GTA VI have multiplied in recent months. And after we found out that three of the label’s classics were eligible for restoration, the plans we proposed really seem to be taking shape.

According to several sources by Kotaku, Rockstar is reportedly working on remastering three GTA games released on PlayStation 2: Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
More than portages?
Rockstar’s original goal was to release this Florilge earlier this year and even offer it to GTA V Next-Gen buyers before opting for a release grouped as a download, the American website explains that plans are subject to change before it arrives.
That is Rock star Dundee, Ex-Ruffian Games who worked on Crackdown 2, Kinect Star Wars, and Halo: The Master Chief Collection would have been entrusted with the task. A restoration under Unreal Engine, presented as a mixture of old and new graphics, with a revised surface, but without distorting the original style.
In principle, a facelift on the pritties of Claude, Tommy Vercetti and CJ is enough to make you dream. But we are now waiting for a confirmation … or a rejection.
