When Microsoft and Obsidian Entertainment presented the role-playing game Avowed during the Xbox Game Showcase Livestream in July 2020, a very exciting title was already emerging. Now E3 2021 is just around the corner and players are wondering whether something new will finally be shown.
Insiders disagree on whether Microsoft will show Avowed at E3
As part of The Game Mess Show podcast, well-known industry insider Jeff Grubb stated that we Avowed not on E3
Sponger explains:
“As far as I know, we’re getting a trailer for the big game at E3. Avowed is showing this year and the game is in great shape. It’s also almost completely on schedule.”
Sponger is also irritated by Jeff Grubb’s statement. Because he had the information that a gameplay trailer is being presented.
“Nor do I want to speculate as I know Jeff has a great record – it might have to do with planning, but the game is in good shape and it will be shown this year. After talking to me I was convinced that it was going to be a gameplay trailer for E3. Now I’m pretty confused. “
So it is conceivable that we will not see Avowed at E3, but at another event this year.

What is Avowed?
The new role-playing game from the makers of Pillars of Eternity looks pretty exciting in the first trailer. The game is obviously played from the first person perspective. The game therefore looked like a competitor for The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. How much the two games are similar cannot yet be said. However, indications suggest strong similarities:
