In the future, Samsung will distribute less frequent updates to two mid-range cell phones from 2019. These two Galaxy cell phones are affected.
- The Galaxy A70 and A20e are slipping from quarterly to semi-annual security updates.
- Both phones have not yet reached the end of support.
The South Korean company Samsung has the two Mid-range cell phones Galaxy A70 and A20e presented in 2019. Both devices have received quarterly security patches since their release. Now both smartphones slide down one step.
Like the tech blog Galaxy Club reports, the cell phones only receive security patches every six months. Both phones have not yet reached the end of support.
Samsung usually distributes security patches for newer devices for up to four years after the release. It can therefore be assumed that the A20e and A70 will receive appropriate updates for one or even two more years.
