San Diego Comic-Con 2020: The most important series in the US, the film and comic fair is cancelled
San Diego Comic Con 2020 has been cancelled. This is the first time in 50 years that the largest fan performance in the United States will not be held. The door will not be open to fans of comics, series and pop culture until 2021. You can find more information here.
The San Diego Comic Con [SDCC] has been held every summer for 50 years. But by 2020, everything will be different. This year, the largest fan expo in the United States was canceled for the first time. The reason is to take measures to prevent the further spread of coronavirus. The virus caused major events to be cancelled worldwide. The next San Diego Comic-Con will be July 22-25, 2021
Traditionally, series like "The Walking Dead", "The Vikings" and Co. showed the trailer for the upcoming season of the series on the SDCC. However, since there are currently many series and movies parked at production stops, it will be a question whether all trailers are ready for the Expo. Before media production begins again, we are unlikely to receive good news about our favorite series.
American TVLine magazine also reported that the purchaser of the badge can get their money back or use it in 2021. You will receive more information via email.
"Special measures are needed during special times. We are very sad and have to make this decision, but we know that this is a correct decision. We look forward to the time we meet again in our community and share what we love."
David Granzer [SDCC spokesperson]
SDCC maintains the Guinness World Records as the world's largest annual pop culture festival with approximately 135,000 participants from more than 80 countries. In addition, there are currently more than 2,500 media workers from more than 30 countries.
