Scavengers Reign is one of the best sci-fi series of recent years – at least if we can believe their critics and viewers. Because for example on Rotten Tomatoes The animated adventure earns an incredible average score of 100 percent from 22 reviews!
The viewers of Scavengers Reign are similarly enthusiastic with an audience score of 96 points. And also at that Film database IMDb has an impressive rating of 8.6 stars.
Nevertheless, the project was canceled by HBO after just one season. A short time later, Netflix secured the rights to Scavengers Reign and There was hope for a possible extension.
Could Scavengers Reign return for a second season after all?
At least currently, things are looking bad for a sequel. Because co-producer Joe Bennett delivered Instagram the following update:

However, Joe Bennett doesn’t want to completely bury the hope of new episodes for his excellent sci-fi series. In fact, he is optimistic about the future and even shared one first trailer for a possible second season.

Whether Scavengers Reign will be continued is currently unclear. The sci-fi series already has an arduous history.

What is the animated series about?
This is the story: The crew of a space freighter is stranded on an alien planet that harbors many dangers. In order to protect themselves, the group must learn more about the nature and events of the new environment.

Just a few months after the show was acquired by Netflix, it even received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Animated Program.
However, Scavengers Reign came away empty-handed and lost to the series Blue Eye Samurai, which you can currently watch on Netflix.
