We are only a few days away from our second and final weekend Modern Warfare 2 beta. This round will expand to PC and Xbox, and give PlayStation players another chance to experience the multiplayer shooter firsthand.
As you’d expect, players are providing immediate feedback on the design changes they liked and didn’t like, as well as some of the bugs and map bugs they’ve found so far — even if many of those grievances return to Infinity Ward in clear signs from Modern Warfare 2019 Not going to change them.
what developer Do What I actually want to do is make some adjustments over the weekend two times. In a blog post, Infinity Ward touched on a few major feedback points and whether they’ll change this weekend.
Enemy visibility is a big problem for players, especially when being fired on by opponents in the shadows. Infinity Ward will make enemies stand out in friendly matches this weekend, but the developers are also lowering the opacity of the muzzle smoke to make the muzzle flash more visible.
Once you start shooting, this should make it easier to track your targets, not to mention easier to identify enemies.
Footsteps have always been a hot minefield, but Infinity Ward actually agreed that the sound was a little too accurate for the first weekend. The clear range of enemy footsteps is being cut this weekend. The sound of enemy footsteps will also differ from friendly footsteps to further make it easier to identify.
The new welfare system has also been a controversial topic. During the second weekend, Infinity Ward will try to speed up the earning rate of bonuses and ultimate benefits.
In addition to the beta version itself, Infinity Ward is making changes to the final version based on feedback. The UI is one such area that will see bug fixes and design changes to make it easier to navigate.
As for the impact of swipe-to-cancel on the game, the developer says it’s aware of some players who have managed to work around the issue. We’ll likely see changes aimed at fixing that this weekend, but bigger changes will come by launch. The goal is to make swiping “feel more fluid and snappy,” though the developers didn’t elaborate further.
The Early Access portion of the second test weekend will begin on Thursday, before opening to everyone on Saturday. Preloading is now available for all platforms.
