A lot has been said about the frame rate of Switch games for years. And the amount of virtual ink spilled is even greater when it comes to games available on both Switch and other platforms. While it’s not uncommon for the Nintendo console to perform worse than others at this level, there can still be some good surprises. The fall of the day is proof of that.

Good news for Nintendo Switch users who are interested Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania : the game actually runs at 60 fps on the Nintendo console. There is no longer any speculation on this subject, the information has been confirmed by the official Twitter account of Super Monkey Ball.
And that’s not the only thing SEGA has to say about its game: the Japanese publisher has also indicated that the Nintendo Switch version of Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania will be compatible with gyroscopic playability. Players therefore have the choice between classic gameplay and motion detection. Unless the latter simplifies the task of the players, the offer of such an option in a game like SMBBM is not incoherent.
Expected precision
If this precision in relation to the frame rate of Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania may seem strange, it should be remembered that there was recently talk of a SEGA game released on Nintendo Switch for the opposite reason. In fact, Sonic Colors Ultimate runs at 30 fps on Switch while it runs at 60 fps elsewhere.
As a reminder: Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania will be on Switch on October 5th, but also on PS5, Xbox Series X | S, PS4, Xbox One and PC released.
