CoD Modern Warfare 2 surprises with multi-layered Gunsmith for weapon hobbyists
Good news for everyone who has worked up a sweat with the immense storage space consumption of Modern Warfare 2019 together with Warzone: Modern Warf are 2 and Warzone 2 should finally no longer force you into a huge overall installation. The developers told us this in an interview.
The predecessor could not run on the PC without Warzone 1, so you always have to download the Battle Royale – even if you only wanted to play the regular multiplayer. The sound barrier of 250 GB was quickly reached, which led to frustration – here is my comment from 2020:

250 GB blown: We PC gamers are left out in the rain
The two multiplayer chief developers Joe Cecot and Geoffrey Smith from Infinity Ward explained to us the technical background for the massive download sizes.
Now we’ve brought the two back together to talk about Modern Warfare 2 – and asked the question again. In an interview with GameStar, the two developers now give the all-clear.
Joe Cecot explains:
You should be able to download them separately. Still, the integration will be seamless again, so you don’t have to exit the game to switch from Warzone 2 to multiplayer, and vice versa. So this is very quick and easy, but you can still determine the installation yourself.
His colleague Geoff Smith adds:
Yes, we’ve been working very hard on these systems since Modern Warfare 2019. It was a very hotly debated topic – the storage space and the back and forth between the title menus. We hope things are going better now.
Players will therefore have more freedom in MW2 in which parts they want to install without having to deal with unnecessary ballast on the hard drive. The beta beats by the way on the PC with around 17 GB to book, more about the system requirements, start date and keys can be found here:

In the meantime, we’ve already thrown ourselves onto the battlefield, completed our first matches and drawn our first conclusions about CoD Modern Warfare 2!
Download size wasn’t our only talking point with CoD creators though! In our interview, Joe Cecot and Geoffrey Smith also commented on the current protests about the minimap in the new Modern Warfare 2 from some parts of the CoD community.
