The top-notch Hunt Showdown continues to grow and thrive in 2022 – even making some GameStar editors missionaries lately!
Developer Crytek has now presented the new update 1.7.2, which is to be installed on January 27th.
Among other things, the patch introduces a system of daily rewards, which should encourage you to hunt monsters every day. Here is the update at a glance:
- Daily reward: Once per day, each hunter in your collection can claim a bonus when he or she loots the bounties on Hunt Showdown monsters. Specifically, you get 15 percent more Hunter Experience and 20 percent more Hunt Dollars on a successful mission. If you hunt successfully for several days in a row, you can also earn Blood Bonds (the premium currency in the game).
- New weapon variants: The recently introduced Scottfield revolver and Berthier carbine are getting new variants. The Scottfield is now available in a version with a shorter barrel, with a rifle stock or in a speedloader variant for faster reloads. The Berthier, on the other hand, is now also available as a deadeye variant with a telescopic sight.
- Balance Changes: In the future, explosive weapons such as dynamite, grenades or the bomb lance will also inflict full damage on allies – so the danger of deadly friendly fire increases. The recoil of pairs of pistols wielded in both hands is also significantly increased.
Also, tripping hazards like the Alert Trip Mine and the Posion Trip Mine have been slightly improved. Also, the distraction decoys now make the footstep sound like a Hunter walking by.
