Fans of the Civilization strategy series can breathe a sigh of relief: the latest part of the series will be released on time! An important development step on the way to release has now been taken.

The developers of Sid Meier's Civilization VII have every reason to be happy, because nothing stands in the way of releasing the latest part of the renowned strategy series. As Firaxis Games confirmed, the longed-for gold status has now officially been achieved.

The achievement of this important development step was announced via social media. The work on the game is officially completed and Sid Meier's Civilization VII is already scheduled for release on February 11, 2025. On that day, the turn-based strategy epic is scheduled to be available for PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch will be available. Cross-play between the different versions will also be supported upon release.

Those who pre-order one of the more expensive game versions can even get started a little earlier; These will also receive early access from February 6, 2025 as a goodie on top, meaning they can play five days before those who buy the standard edition.

If you want to play on your PC, you of course have to make sure that it meets the system requirements; these had already been announced in advance. An Intel Coire i3-10100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 as a CPU and an NVIDIA GTX 1050 or AMD RX 460 as a GPU are enough to get started.
