In the past few months there have been rumors of a comeback for Silent Hill. New speculations now suggest that the horror experts from Bloober Team could be involved in the alleged project.
With The Medium, the guys from Bloober Team have already proven that they can handle the horror genre well, after all, the title was quite convincing. In the future, this ability could be demonstrated in a much more well-known franchise.
In conversation with GI.biz CEO Piotr Babieno now admits that they have been working on a new horror title for “more than a year”. “We’re doing this with a very well-known game publisher,” Babieno continued. “I can’t tell you who with. I can’t tell you what the project is about either, but I’m very sure that people will be very excited when they realize what we’re working on.”
In further statements he confirmed that the studio’s upcoming projects will offer a little more action and will also be played from a first-person perspective, but psychological horror should still be in the DNA of the studio.
So what is this new horror project about? The assumption is that it will be a new Silent Hill, after all, Konami has rumored to be looking for external developers to commission them with the corresponding work. It almost seems like Bloober Team has at least won a contract.
