During yesterday’s Silent Hill transmission, it’s safe to say that Silent Hill fans ate well. We saw three different games, including one of the best horror games of all time, Silent Hill 2, which is being remastered by Bloober Team. In addition to this, we also livestreamed the much-anticipated Silent Hill event, Ascension, as well as a brand new movie in the series.
One of the three games revealed is Silent Hill F, which looks to be the next mainline entry in the series. The art itself in the short trailer shown has also led some to believe that Silent Hill F may have something to do with the Sakura leak not too long ago.
Personally, I don’t believe it, but Silent Hill F looks rather charming and stylized.
The game will be developed by Neobards Entertainment, who happens to be the developer of games like Resident Evil: ReVerse and Resident Evil Resistance. It also worked on the Devil May Cry HD Collection and the Resident Evil Origins Collection. That’s not much to say, but at least we know this team is good at handling its horror titles.
Additionally, the story will be written by Ryukishi07, author of the When They Cry visual novel series. We can also expect Kera to be involved in creature and character design, and Motoi Okamoto (you may recognize it from Nintendo) as the game’s producer.
Beyond that, little is known about Silent Hill F or what else it might bring. All we have to do is these different names, and that short intensive phobia-inducing trailer. I think Silent Hill and the hole go hand in hand!
