Sims 4 business and hobbies revolve around much-needed (but controversial) features

When the Sims 4 development team talks about the upcoming corporate and hobby expansion packs, it’s clear that for all overhaul tattoo systems and introducing new pottery skills, it’s obviously the core of “what new things” – they know that cross-combination compatibility will be an important topic for many long-term players. More than a decade has passed since the original version of TS4, and even if you are a fan of the game in general, it may be your wish list that long-awaited to see DLC, which feels less scattered and more like a whole addition to the game world as a whole.

Business and hobbies aren't the first packaging to try to make it a reality in some way. The 2022 Werewolf Game Pack won many hearts and minds when combining it with the GPS, Vampires and Magic of Magic fields of the first two supernatural themes. Although the last Halloween expansion of life and death was so overwhelming that whatever other add-ons you have (or actually don't). But with the help of businesses and hobbies, it seems that cross-package compatibility is finally ready to run where others go, and nearly every other work or previous DLC has made new changes in the central game that adds small businesses and hobbies categories to its central game.

Unfortunately, it was unfortunate, but not unexpected – as far as fanaticism is concerned, the news is a double-edged sword. Any announcements currently related to the Sims are guaranteed to cause controversy, and for every immer who is happy to finally ticke out the “strong packaging interaction”, their wish list will be upset with the concept of a DLC’s feature, which is a ticket to a DLC behind another.

This is not an intrinsically unreasonable complaint, but it is indeed a binary choice: each Sims 4 DLC is completely independent and independent, or they include some unique interactions depending on the other add-ons you install. Both have their merits, but overall, I am on the side of the second team, although for value, I understand the source of distrust. Everyone there will definitely remember extremely The release of my first pet product package was a controversial release, which only came out a few months after the Cats & Dogs expansion, and is very transparently “DLC for DLC” and even includes a few items you need to unlock both.

The crash around my first pet stuff was indeed a lower moment for the TS4, and even seven years later, the facts about the two packs weren't simply re-bound, which felt like a missed opportunity, an opportunity to regain some kindness. But while it may be reasonable for consumers to make some fear of businesses and hobbies based on this experience, this does not make it accurate to assume that B&H will repeat all past mistakes.

One of the selling points EA is eager to point out is that a brand new player can download the base game of Sims 4, buy business and hobbies as their first and only paid, and already have access to 76 different, well, business and hobby options – even in the 10-year history of TS4, you have access to your unique interaction rate, even if almost all other DLCs can enjoy your interaction efficiency, i.e., minimum.

This number sounds good, but it's hard to visualize without some context. Well, I can tell you that I have played the base games offered by EA and B&H-HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-B&H-HHHHHHH-B&H-HHHH-B&H-HHH-B&H-HHH-B&H-HHH-B&H-HH-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H-B&H, and while undeniably playing from every major DLC to only one available package, I never felt like I wasn't like what to do. Within 10 minutes of starting the game, I run the world’s most exotic cake shop from my Sim’s exposed concrete garage, which is the faster pace I’ve experienced when I started my new TS4 with Scratch.

There is no denying that there are some strange things. Naturally as an aspiring bakery owner, I spent a few minutes searching for the “baking” submenu on the oven and remember to separate it because its own skill is something that can do the work expansion package, so my SIM card will have to “cook” her cake like the 2014 Luddite. Again, I had to define my homework as a bar because the cafe assignments were brought together and, surprisingly, still not getting into the base game.

But in the end, thanks to B&H’s new “family recipe” creation features, I can not only make and sell the cakes I want, but even customize them in new ways, and honestly, it’s minimal simplicity. After a moment, I was happy to define the secret recipe for my Sim Sims’ birthday cake (basic recipe) with cherries (secret ingredients), which included inherent mood enhancement (reward effects), and my disappointment with the lack of technical accuracy in baked goods and business terms has been largely forgotten, if not totally forgiven.

So some older packaging – especially the above work and come together, in fact, these are two first expansions released on TS4 in 2015 – of course, they significantly enrich their business and hobbies even if they aren't true Required. Indeed, part of B&H almost does feel like a radical improvement and improvement to the retail business ownership system that works quite memorable. While I won't say this should be a free update, I do think it supports the idea that some older TS4 packages should actually be permanently down, and now that the cycle has been running for a long time, we're starting to see that spirit of old EPs that were once the old EPs that started in the new generation.

But, honestly, at least in my opinion, the most interesting thing about interacting with B&H is the more profitable edge cases. Business and hobbies obviously go well with going to work, but I'm even more excited about some of the examples in the package that doesn't scream immediately “home business” until you get creative. The supernatural vague noodles will be able to open vampire plasma sticks using installed vampire GPs, or run an elixir store with the magic realm. The dining table sits at the Cat Cafe – if you have both parties, cats and dogs. Part of the appeal here is to pour all the simulated LEGOs onto the table and see what you can come up with.

Hopefully this won't make the aigmers (totally reasonable – unaffordable or just not wanting to be a TS4 completionist feel. The Sims series has been 25 years old, which means we're still starting to ask ourselves a quarter century ago that the series' DLC practice is the reason the concept can stay so long or shamelessly exploited by captive audiences. I don't have an easy answer to this (although I suspect it's easy to be both), but I do agree with the notion that if EA is going to release two £40 expansion packs a year until the heat of the universe dies, then I don't want these DLCs to come rely on I do like them more to each other Speech Between each other in this way – especially when the conversation brings some creative new possibilities, let emigmers explore.
