Apex Legends may eventually add permanent Duos, but Solos may not happen.
this week, Apex Legend The Old Ways incident began with a new update. Among other things, the patch introduces Duos as a permanent option that players can use.
Developer Respawn has previously tested Duos in other incidents, but this is the first time the model has become a permanent device. Whenever mentioning Duos, Solo fans will also express their desire for this model.
According to Respawn, the Solos case is more difficult to make than Duos. In the Reddit post, the developer explained that Duos had a positive impact on the health of the game compared to the introduction of solo games.
"Last year, when we launched Solos as a limited time mode, we found that it actually had a negative impact on the game, especially in terms of retaining new players," the developer explained.
There are also arguments for team competition. Respawn said that various Legends features are designed to work together, which is not possible in Solos. This makes certain abilities or entire characters almost useless.
"We are still exploring ways to allow solo experience, but now grab one (or two) friends into the arena," the developer added.
The next Apex Legends event may introduce a new version of Solos, which will have a more positive impact. Prior to this, The Old Ways will take effect on April 21.
