Six things you didn’t know you could do with Fuse in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

didnt, fuse, Kingdom, Legend, tears, Zelda

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of Kingdoms has tons of new abilities for you to try and experiment with, so here are some cool things the Fuse can do!

Spoilers ahead!

Link is tasked with brand new adventures in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and new adventures require new powers, four in fact. We have Recall, which is probably the most powerful ability in the game. There’s Ascend, which was originally just a developer debugging feature that was added because developers like to cheat. Or Ultrahand, which is basically a magnesium alloy from the first game, only you can grab anything and make some truly wacky and wonderful creations.

Finally, there’s Fuse, which lets you do this with your weapons and pretty much everything else in the game. Sure, you can fuse a lot of stuff, but not everything is as useful or as impressive. So here we’ve put together a list for you of six cool things you might not have realized you could do with the Fuse.

1. The rocket on the shield basically lets you fly

As you’ve probably seen, attaching a rocket to your shield lets you shoot into the sky, a useful replacement for Revali’s Gale. But did you know you use it to turn your shield into a hoverboard?

2. Lizalfos tail turns weapons into whips

If you think you really miss Skyward Sword’s whip, then this one’s for you (although no, unfortunately you can’t use it to sweep land). It’s one of those “damn, they really put a lot of thought into this game” fusion that really hits you.

3. The wings on the shield allow you to do Link’s slow motion shots on the ground

One of Link’s best innate abilities is his superhuman ability to slow down time while shooting arrows through the air. It turns out that if you attach a wing to one of your shields, it lets you activate said slow motion on flat ground.

4. Yes, you can fuse Riju’s toy stamp to your weapon

This one is basically silly, but you can actually do it, and apparently if you talk to Riju afterwards, she’ll notice you did it!

5. Make very, very powerful weapons

Most of the weapons you find early in the game don’t do much damage, but it turns out that fusing the Gibdo parts can add up to 80 damage, which will definitely help you play the game if you’re the player

6. Die!

Yeah, well, not every fusion idea is a good one, but it’s good to know that attaching a bomb barrel to a boomerang can cause serious damage.
